Our Environmental policy ensures we are committed to protecting the long term future of timber as a valuable material and resource, all of the veneers we use are from renewable sources.
Veneer is also recognised as the most economical method of utilising timber without compromising on quality. Our clients look for reassurance that we source materials responsibly.
Our business is the processing of natural wood veneers and reconstituted veneers, both of which are recognised for their environmental qualities. Woodlam (UK) Ltd commits itself to the environment beyond the legal or regulatory constraints throughout the lifecycle of our product (design to its end of life), also working with customers in their own environmental procedures.
Woodlam (UK) Ltd is FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) certified. This label provides a credible link between materials supplied from controlled harvesting forests and a responsible production process. FSC® certification enables customers to make an informed choice of products issued from environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable forest management and manufacturing processes. This certificate now enables Woodlam (UK) Ltd to satisfy HQE/LEED projects requirements and to optimise its assets on domestic and international markets.
Woodlam (UK) Ltd is EUTR compliant. “Timber Due Diligence Statement” The European Union Timber
Regulation (EUTR) No995/2010 obliges companies legally to undertake due diligence if they are trading timber
or timber based products into the EU. Purchases by Woodlam (UK) Ltd of veneer and wood based products are made from within the European Union and have documentation from all our suppliers stating that they only purchase veneers from responsible and legal forest management organisations.
